gal thruster

I finished this one last week but I had some problems with the cameras.
well, this is for a gal. I did a more user friendly board for her. The girl wanted a contemporary shortboard...for smaller days...anyway,
Many aspects of the design taken into account her leg strenght and back foot size. Reduced the length, keeping the wide, put more meat under chest; reduced the tail area a lot, reduced the tail thickness; reduced fins size.
The color idea and design was done exactly in the same way that she told me
-speed finish, 2x 4oz top and 1 4oz bottom

prep

...the color idea is from the customer; so I was there with the sketch, tapes, etc. Deck and bottom; then, take out the paper and taping and masking again to do another color in the place that is masked on the pictures

ultra loose on fire

....a bunch o´picts. Intended to provide floatation and modern surfing towards the curl and pocket. Heavy tail rockered (more than a HP shortie), good entry rocker (equal to a HP shortie); 60/40s semiegg rails to hard; large fins with small back ones (different outline but same foil, tilted half); 4 channels fading out both ways; Gloss top/speed finish bottom. Customer has a strong style.

sneaky preview

...I spent many hours with these colors.
1992 was the last time one of my boards had a space theme. I had a guy who painted with brushes, that was inspired (I think) in Worthington´s art but with space and galaxies. He finished all those paint works with a very small Knight on a horse down the tail bottom.
